In August 2015, Wolfe was commissioned to make a film for the CMFT appeal for a 24-hour access on-site helipad, on their central hospitals site. The aim was to equip Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital with its own helipad to ensure that the most critically ill and injured children could access the specialist care they require within the ‘golden hour’.
In September 2015, the Appeal was launched to raise £3.9m for the helipad.
In September 2016, the Appeal achieved its fundraising target, a year early and construction will commence in January 2017.
Maurice Watkins CBE, Chairman of CMFT Charity’s Fundraising Board commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to announce that we have hit target on our £3.9m Helipad Appeal. When we launched the appeal last September we knew it was an ambitious target, so to have completed in just a year is a phenomenal achievement.”
